Cool stuff about Becca...

Start off by telling us about yourself and your journey!
I got out of college and started bodybuilding. While it was fun, I was starving to death, to say the least, lol. One night while eating my 3 oz of chicken and broccoli, I was watching the Olympics that summer (2012) and saw Olympic weightlifting. The next day I found a coach and that was that. I got pretty good at it and then I pretty much ripped my arm off and had reconstructive surgery. During my downtime, I got out of shape and wanted to get back on track so I started CrossFit and never looked back!

How did you get into fitness?
My parents enrolled me in every sport possible when I was growing up; I have been exposed, well fortunate enough to be involved with a multitude of sports and fitness all my life.

I’m fucking strong. I mean that. If I train, I can lift a house.

What's your preferred style of encouragement?
Self-care, love, and reality checks.

What would you recommend to someone that is new to the city, or working out, in terms of meeting and connecting with others?
Hmmm...honestly I would go to different fitness facilities (CrossFit, Barry’s bootcamp, yoga, Pilates, etc) and shoot your shot.

How do you track fitness goals?
Honestly, my goals have shifted so much that if I workout everyday, I’ve done a great job. Whether it’s for 15 mins or 4 hours, I’m proud of myself.

What metrics do you track for your goals?
I’m training for a marathon so my training is primarily running; lots of varied distances and sprints.

How are your favorite workouts structured? By sets and reps? Or Sets and Duration?
My favorite workouts are the ones that look impossible on paper like 800m handstand walk or something ridiculous like that.

Who are your fitness icons/mentors/heroes/inspiration?
Sandow & Cynisca.

What is your favorite food?
Pizza and Oreos.

What is your word for 2019?

What’s your go-to song or artist at the gym?

What are three interesting facts about you?
1) I love paranormal anything.
2) I credit my strength to training horses growing up.
3) Germaphobe.

What is your greatest achievement and how has it shaped you?
Making the CrossFit games; I discovered what self-worth really was.
